ABSTRAXION

Harold Boué aka Abstraxion is a French producer based in Marseille. He released at the end of 2013 his stunning debut LP Break of Lights on HAKT + Nicolas Jaar’s label Other People. At the end of 2014 his I Can’t EP came out on HAKT and was invited on Tim Sweeney’s Beats In Space radio show (NYC).

He also released two EPs in collaboration with his friend Kasper Bjørke – Origami in 2015 & Matin/Nuit in 2017 on his own imprint Biologic records.

In November 2014 he launched LAB, a series of bi-monthly Cartes Blanches in Marseille. So far, the LAB parties have invited John Talabot, Levon Vincent, Axel Boman, Chloé, Massimiliano Pagliara and played b2b series since 2017 with artists as Roman Flügel, Zozo, Fort Romeau, Jennifer Cardini, Chloé, Aleksa Alaska, Rroxymore….

In January 2016, he released his EP Resonance, with remixes from Matrixxman, Massimiliano Pagliara & Fort Romeau. Always a singular character with an ear for sound, Abstraxion has built a music studio in Marseille with old analogic instruments. He spends his time there making electronic music that is as explorative and organic as possible.

Abstraxion released in 2016 his second LP She Thought She Would Last Forever, mixed by Francis Harris (Scissor & Thread, Adultnapper) and on which he received support from his inspirations/mentors Dan Snaith (Caribou) & John Talabot.

His next EP Black Vulture is coming out on Jennifer Cardini’s label Dischi Autunno in May 2019 with Black Merlin and Interstellar Funk remixes. He also started in 2018 a new project Lion’s Drums (Hivern Discs / Cocktail d’Amore) and is working and a new club live to introduce it at the end of August in a very special place.
